At the Große Spreewaldhafen Lübbenau guests will explore a maritime Christmas market with smoked fish, Christmas pancakes, grog and mulled wine. From there, the wintry punt ride with storytelling goblins aboard leads directly to the Freilandmuseum Lehde.

Let the magic happen with “Christmas how it used to be”. Take a look at the lit up rooms inside the historical farmsteads or have a stroll across the artisan market with Christmas flair and have the traditional Bescherkind und Rumpodich creatures give you gifts.

The Christmas market on the market square is without exaggeration one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Brandenburg. It will take place from 28 November to 7 December 2025. Romantic and quiet, it lies in the heart of the city - surrounded by colourful little huts, filled with Christmas scents like burning wood, fir greenery, gingerbread and mulled wine. 

On the Friday before the first Advent, she, the Snow Queen in her glittering robe, appears at the entrance to the Christmas market. The traditional cutting of stollen is just as much a part of it as immersing yourself in an atmospheric ambience. The offerings you will find at the stalls are lovingly made by industrious hands. In addition to handicrafts, baked goods, jams, Christmas decorations and gift articles, you will find offers for children to dream about and participate in.  Clubs, choirs, musicians and many small and large helpers contribute to the success of our Christmas market.

Second weekend of advent (06.-07.12.2025)

One of the most beautiful Christmas markets. Set against a picturesque backdrop at the gates of Neuzelle Monastery, the fairytale Christmas market is certainly going to fill the air with a magical Christmas spirit on the 2nd Advent weekend.

Deliciously smelling roasted almonds, hot waffles and many other tasty regional specialities and mulled wine variations fill the streets. Christmas songs resound in the background with trumpets, flutes and choir music, adding a nice touch to the Christmassy ambiance. Merchants and craftsmen present plenty seasonal items. Some craftsman allow you to watch them create little artisanal wonders.

Discovering the history of Potsdam at several Christmas Markets 
 
Christmas in Potsdam has a special charm all of its own. Advent delicacies glimpsed between 18th century weavers’ houses, horse-drawn sleigh trips on the Crown Estate of Bornstedt, traditional handicrafts in the Dutch Quarter. In Potsdam the Christmas markets are cleverly interwoven with history and the various historic backdrops. 
 

Bohemian culture and traditions will be celebrated in Potsdam on the first two Advent weekends, from 28.-30.11. and from 06.07.12.2025. The Nowawes Colony for Bohemian weavers was set up under Frederick the Great. This is where, in what is the present-day district of Babelsberg, visitors will find the Bohemian Christmas Market with its traditional handicrafts and typical Advent treats, tucked away among a charming cluster of weavers’ houses dating back to the 18th century. There is an opening event with the christal fairy and a long mulled wine night. 
 
On the second weekend of Advent, 05.-07.12.2025, the Potsdam Sternenmarkt will take place in the courtyard of the Coach House on the Neuer Markt in Potsdam’s historic city centre. Over the period when this Christmas encounter with Poland takes place, traders representing our neighbours to the east will be plying their wares in the form of handicrafts and specialities. The "Blauer Lichterglanz" illuminates Potsdam's historic city center. At around 140 festively decorated market stalls, visitors can purchase regional delicacies and Christmas gifts. The Ferris wheel on Bassinplatz takes you to impressive heights, and the ice rink invites you to go ice skating. The Christmas market welcomes its guests from 24.11.to 28.12.2025..

Culinary Advent Village at Krongut Bornstedt - Experience the festive pre-Christmas season in the atmospheric ambience of Krongut Bornstedt, just a few steps away from Sanssouci Palace. Every Advent weekend, the Culinary Advent Village invites you to enjoy yourself and linger in the historic courtyard and the Royal Court Bakery. Look forward to fragrant Christmas cookies, hearty specialities, aromatic mulled wine and sweet treats – all in a warm, Christmassy atmosphere.
